I have watched every kind of YouTube video you can think of, read all kinds of articles, and still cant seperate the audio tracks. Here are the steps I have been doing.
1. Open OBS.
2. Going to settings.
3. Going to output.
4. Going to recording.
5. Going to audio track and selecting Number 1 and Number 2. Then clicking Apply and then OK.
6. Going to the audio mixer and clicking on the three lines and going to Advanced Audio Properties.
7. Audio Input Capture is listed as Number 1.
8. Desktop Audio is listed as Number 2.
9. I click close then select Start Recording.
10. I record something like a YouTube video playing and I start to talk to see if it will record seperatly.
11. I open my editing software Filmora and put the file down to the edit part.
12. It displays a video being played with a single audio file under it.
Nothing I have tried has worked. Can someone here please help me?

hi, your problem is not with OBS but with Filmora.
Please inform yourself about the cumbersome way to work with multiple audio tracks in Filmora.
ie. "filmora multiple audio tracks"

I'm having the same issues. followed all the steps from youtubers. even had a buddy help me setup step by step and it still isn't working. its not video editing related. I have tracks 1-3 enabled and Game, Mic and Discord set to their separate tracks yet when I record to check, the game is muted. I switch game audio and mic, now my mic is muted but game is recorded. I do have global audio devices for Desktop Audio disabled (thats what my buddy told me). plz help I just want to record until my internet gets better to stream again.

If you record to 3 separate tracks, you can listen to one track at the same time only. No media player will mix tracks. You can switch between tracks in your media player. To have a mix of all 3 tracks, you need to mix the separate tracks in some postprocessing software. You can also add a 4th track in OBS and activate all 3 audio sources for this track. This way OBS creates a mixed track in addition to the separate tracks.
