Question / Help I can't record some of my steam games.

So I got obs for recording and I wanted to make a Quake 4 and Doom 3 series but the program refused to pop up on the recording thing. Tried using both game and window capture and non of them worked. Does anyone know if these games are just not supported or how I could record them

The problem seems to be that those games are required to run as administrator in Windows 10 and OBS can record only processes with equal or lower privileges. I found 2 options to fix this

• Instead of fullscreen game capture, use whole display capture
• Run OBS as administrator when when recording these games

But beware that the key shortcuts you setup in OBS also don't work, so you have to start the recording before starting the game and then stop the recording after you quit the game.
