Question / Help I cant record any 144/120fps game play with obs.

I have been trying to get into recording and video editing but I cant do much with obs. I have a 144hz asus monitor and play my games at 144fps but I cant seem to record without it being very very choppy and disgusting. I use Shadowplay but I have special audio setup and Shadowplay does not pick up all my audio tracks so I don't use it. Shadowplay record perfect footage but OBS wont. Why wont OBS record correctly?

nope i dont think obs is capable of doing so

How choppy is the video output? Your log shows you have chosen 1920x1080, and your hardware certainly has the capability.

Software encoder(x264) is not really capable of encoding anything above 60fps with anything above 1080p while not maxing out your CPU on the other hand NVENC is capable of 1080p240fps and even more

its extremely choppy. its not a performance issue, I get 144 fps ultra while recording its obs not recording properly

so what do you use to record, shadowplay ?
I currently don't record right now sadly. i really really don't like using shadow play as i only get two audio tracks but i cant use obs because it wont record properly.

I am using both display and game capture and I don't understand your 2nd question.
