Question / Help I can't install OBS due to directx errors?!

Hi all,

I've spent quite some time trying to install obs but keep getting the same error message;
Your system is missing DirectX components that Open Broadcaster Software requires. Would you like to download them?

When I download these components it of course says: directx setup has determined that a newer or equivalent version of directx has been installed already. No installation is necessary.

How do I fix this issue? I simply cannot install directx9 as i have a newer version, I've tried the DX fixer but that did absolutely nothing

https://obsproject.com/forum/resources/directx-dependency-fixer-dxfix.87/ is the only thing we have for this older dx installs should install fine even with newer versions installed.
