I can only add one video capture device and the other only shows black

Hello folks! I have a problem. For some mysterious reason I can only add one video capture device at a time. If I connect my cam first, it works, but my gameplay doesn't. When I want to add the gameplay I get a black screen. So I can only add one video capture device and the second one I want to add is just blackscreen. I hope you understand my problem and someone can help me!

If you reverse the order, is it still the second one that fails? Game first, then camera -> game works, and camera is blank?

Or is the real problem simply that the game doesn't work?

It doesn't matter if I add the camera first or the game first, the second one always doesn't work. Sometimes the first one doesn't work and then I can't add anything. But that's very rare

Are you using USB capture devices and are you also using them on a usb hub?

Don't use capture devices on usb hubs. The hubs themselves impose limits that cause problems.

That includes internal hubs that you can't get rid of.

The general rule is one video capture per *controller*, not per port. One controller can serve several ports on the same machine, through an internal hub. Same problem there as if you had an external hub.
