Question / Help I apologize, since I'm sure this question's been asked before.

Will Game Capture ever be compatible with Direct X8 and lower games? It's kind of a real pain in the butt to set up monitor capture in order to stream older games like Thief: The Dark Project and Pool of Radiance: Ruins of Myth Drannor(Which is a Direct X8a game). I really hope game Capture will be set up to capture older games one of these days. As it stands right now, I just go without streaming these games even though I really want to play them on Stream, but fighting with Monitor Capture is not worth it, I hate it.

Maybe eventually in the rewrite, probably not in the current version of OBS. In the meantime you can use Dxtory to hook the game and use its DirectShow output function, which can be added to OBS as a video capture device. For Thief you should be using the NewDark update which as far as I know can be captured normally.

Hey, thanks. I really do hope you guys add Game Capture functionality for older games in the future, but these should work just fine for me for the time being. I really appreciate the quick reply and the help. :)
