Question / Help I am dropping frames, help!

I just made a new account again because I lost my password to my previous account and I need help ASAP in terms of my stream.

So I am running 30@FPS 2000Bitrate (Both Sides) 720P DOWNSCALE with Twitchalerts (CLR BROWSER) at 100/10 network speed. I have the webcam settings set to the resolution 640x360 to avoid any framelag on that front.

I am dropping frames usually a few minutes into the stream for no apparent reason. I posted a similar post on the Twitch sub-reddit and they basically said it's the Twitch end of things, their servers have some kind of overflow, but I doubt that's the case because this has happened now for 2 days in a row. I need this fixed as soon as possible!

These are the things I've tried in order to fix the problem, but up to no solution yet.

- Restarting stream multible times.

- Done multible netspeed tests with the same results everytime.

- Lowered stream settings and bitrate settings.

- Tried to restart the router, no change.

- Tried to close any external applications in the background, with no results or change in the frames dropping.

I will post hardware specs, for those of you that need it down below.

**Gaming Chasis**: Corsair Obsidian 650D Midi Tower
+ **Motherboard**: ASUS P8Z77-V
+ **Video Card**: Gainward NVIDIA GeForce GTX TITAN
+ **CPU**: Intel core i7-3770k @ 3.5ghz
+ **RAM**: Crucial DDR3 BallistiX 16GB 1600Mhz
+ **SSD**: Samsung SSD 840 PRO Series 256GB BULK
+ **Hard Drive**: WD Desktop Green 2TB SATA 3.0
+ **PSU**: Silver Power SP - S860M 850W PSU
+ **Cooler**: Corsair Cooling Hydro H60 CPU Cooler

I will also post an OBS log from the last stream and see if any of you can make sense out of this.

I hope someone can help me at this point.

Here is my stream for reference if you want to see VODS for samples - twitch.tv/unreal9x

I hope I get this solved quick, because I've got people waiting for the ice cream man.

Dude I already went through all of those precautions, read that post atleast a hundred times and it still doesn't work, wouldn't be posting this if I didn't read your post first @R1CH

Then there isn't anything you can do other than complain to your ISP or change providers.

Did you actually read my post or are you just assuming it's my ISP? because I think my ISP is all good in terms of streaming but I will double check AGAIN just to be on the safe side.

Dropped frames are not an OBS issue but a network issue. All the advice we can give is in that thread that RICH linked.

Being fair, the Twitch ingests are a hot mess at the moment, and for the last (few) month(s) off and on.

There's really nothing you can do. There are no magic settings to set, if the problem is with the remote server. That's like asking how to turn on your light bulb during a power outage. It's not a problem with the bulb.

Likewise, if it's an upstream routing problem, that'd be like asking how to plug in a lamp and make it work when the electrical cable at the pole is down.

It's just not something you can fix by twiddling things on your end, sometimes.

- Does the same problem happen with other services like hitbox.tv or YouTube? That would be an easy way to tell if it's a Twitch problem.

- Does the same problem happen with a different program like XSplit? If not, you may need to go to Settings > Advanced and check the "Disable TCP send window optimization" box.

Oh So there are issues with the twitch servers atm? been streaming for 2 months from scratch and the last 3 days been filled with dropped frames and before I had no issues. I tried everything and it's just so frustrating because games are what I want to play. :/

No, it does not. I've gone through so many speedtests and I get the speed I want and no other service has any issues. I recently went from OBS to OBS studio and it's the same issue. Even before I switched to studio, I had frame issues the first day I noticed dropped frames. I have the same settings even from classic to studio and no difference. I will HOWEVER look for the TCP settings you mentioned, I've tried eveything so far so why not

Just tried the TCP setting, no change nor the TCP access in the firewall, don't know what to do.

If it happens regardless of the program you're using and only with Twitch, not to other services, then the problem is somewhere between you and Twitch. You can wait to see if the problem resolves itself or contact your ISP about it, but it seems clear at this point that it isn't an OBS issue.

It is not anywhere, but when I stream on Twitch, youtube works fine, spotify, skype, discord every application that requires internet works fine with or without the stream.

I did contact ISP and they just keep telling me the values are all good, so I have no idea.

I'm glad you actually read the post and tries to help me in a constructive way instead of just repeating the precautions I've already gone through.

I just wanna play videogames and stream them while I interact with my viewers.

Download and run the Twitch Bandwidth Tester, from Teamliquid. It's free. You want a server that's got an 80 or higher rating, 90+ preferred.

Speedtest is worthless for livestreamers as it tests a different type of connection than streaming uses.

I did countless of tests with JTVPING and twitch bandwidth tester and I get the same results from both, Amsterdam and Sweden are the best locations for me since I am from Sweden, tried both servers, I even tried london and other servers within Europe to stream on and it's the same issue everywhere, both on OBS and OBS studio
