Question / Help I am begging for help with the recording freezing but still recording audio PLEASE HELP!

I CAN'T KEEP USING THIS IF I CAN; T GET IT TO WORK PLEASE HELP. IT WILL RECORD LIKE 10 MINUTES OF A 2 HOUR RECORDING AND AFTER THE 10 MINUTES ALL IT DOES IS FREEZE THE VIDEO AND ONLY RECORDS THE AUDIO. ITS BEEN DOING THIS SINCE LAST MONTHS UPDATE. I HAVE OBS STUDIO ON TWO COMPUTERS AND IT DOES IT ON BOTH here is the last video I recorded i just uploaded a small sample of what I am talking about. .https://www.facebook.com/truffle.sh...38467.1073741828.1716362223&type=3&uploaded=1

Your caps lock button is broken or stuck.

The log file you posted doesn't have any actual recording in it.

Turn Game DVR off.

If possible use Game Capture instead of Monitor Capture.

well, the log fire is from the game I recorded and put a link to so it record just froze and then only recorded the sound. I will turn game DVR off and go to game capture and see if that helps. But i have the same issue on my desktop pc as this one and it uses game capture and not screen. I'll let you know how that goes

Hmm, make sure that the log file is "closed out" by OBS before you upload it. Safest way to do that is to close down OBS first, that forces it to write all its data to the log file.

I always close out obs before until I am ready to edit my video then I remux and put it into my editing software. I also tried using game capture. It does the same thing by recording only the game sound but the video is now just black. O and yes the caps lock thing the game I play the caps lock is the mic key so I forget to turn it off.

OK, Update I decided to uninstall and reinstall and after that, I did everything you suggested again and it no longer records black screen although the recording quality is very bad. even though I used the same bit rate and stuff as I did before. Do you have a suggestion about making the quality better?
