Question / Help I am at my wits end with OBS!

I downloaded OBS to stream my CSGO, PUBG, and RocketLeague gaming content to the platform Twitch. Before I started streaming I experimented with different encoder settings and video settings. I can not find good settings for streaming, still having enough resources on my computer to game, also use discord, and other applications.

I've tried streaming at 720p 30fps, 60fps, 1080p 30fps, 1080 60fps and all of them I cant seem to find the right settings for whether its bit rate, resoulution, or all the other options.

I really need help with what options to choose for my OBS. I am looking to stream at a good quality that the viewers wont complain but I also want to stream at a quality that all my viewers will be able to watch at source quality. I also want to be able to play my games without major fps drops and lag spikes.

Computer Specs
Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-6700 CPU @ 3.40GHz
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 6GB
16 GB
Microsoft Windows 10 (build 16299), 64-bit
I am also not using OBS classic!

I am also not affiliated on Twitch! If anyone could please help me with my OBS settings it would be greatly appreciated!

Also to add on, for my connection to Twitch servers. I get 10k+kbp/s bitrate on Toronto Canada, quality 100, rtt of 40 according to this tool

Can you tell us, what the problem is?
Is it quality, or stream performance or game performance or something else?

After telling us, what is bothering you, create a log file (sticky thread explains how to do so) and post it here.

In general, I would try this:
x264 very fast
720p 30fps
CBR 3500kbps

You can also try 720p 60fps 5000kbps, but it will get blurry in some fast games, while som viewers might struggle to watch 5000kbit streams on slow ISPs.

BK-Morpheus, I don't really understand encoders but some people told me NVENC is better. Is it? Or should I use x264 instead?

For the Rate control on CBR, should I set a profile, or use a tune or just leave them on none?
Also last thing, when I want to rescale my stream do I need to rescale on my output tab or on my video tab or both?

NVENC = very little impact on your system and your gaming experience
x264 = some CPU load (depends on preset, resolution, framerate, bitrate)

x264 very fast will encode more efficient and therefore will squeeze a little higher quality out of the given bitrate, that's why I would always try x264 first.

For streaming, CBR and keyframe intervall 2s is recommended.
I would leave "tune" to none and pick profile "high".

For rescaling, I suggest to use the video tab and set base resolution = monitor resolution and output resolution as you like (720p recommended for streaming).

If you just want to record locally (where most restrictions don't matter), I would use NVENC 1080p 60fps with CRF 16 (instead of CBR).
