This year I've been experimenting at work with a workflow that has me doing screen capture of a Zoom, using OBS to do 'camera cuts' and overlay branding graphics and stream it up to YouTube. Now we're deeming this product ready for prime time and getting requests from other departments, but I need to find a solution for closed captioning.
Most of the solutions I'm seeing for AI captioning involve an in-browser solution, which makes me nervous, and seem to be in various stages of beta. The departments in question have budgets that would allow for hiring a CART captioner, but I don't understand what the workflow is. If I have a typist, what's the signal path that gets the captions into a POST call to ride up to YouTube?
(And while I'm thinking in that direction - can I do anything to add a ten-second delay, so that the captions line up perfectly?)
