I've recently bought a new gaming notebook partly dedicated to streaming. The name of it is the MSI GT70 and it's specs are located here. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a ... 6834152364
I've done my fair share of googling to find the source of my problem which is namely the Black Screen in both game capture and monitor capture. From what I concluded, it's due to nvidia's optimus technology. Thus, I selected my dedi gfx to preferred and made OBS run with it as-well. I even checked program settings from the control panel to manually set it to the gtx 675 just to be safe. Nothing. Then, I tried doing windows update, which updated several things, all to no avail. I proceeded to download Adobe Air, and .net framework 4.5, and ccleaner to clean the registry, nothing. I refreshed the process in OBS itself, tweaked with everything I could, rotated between launching the game/obs first, nothing. Tried using an old version and a new one, nothing. Tried using both 32 bit and 64 bit, nothing. I tried compatibility mode with windows 7, resulting in the monitor capture to work at a staggering choppy 20 fps but still results in a black screen on game capture. I have already installed all my drivers and the last thing that's functional on this computer is now OBS. Does anyone have any suggestions?
