Question / Help Huge encoding lag

Hi guys,

I encountered a kind of weird problem over the last streams. Without any change of settings our encoding lag exploded. Today I was at 41% (barely watchable). Last week it was 14% and it used to be 0 to 1...

And I really don't know what happened. Maybe you can help shine a light on this?

Just out of curiosity, are you looking for a suggestion to resolve the issue, or just more of a question of, "I didn't change anything and this new problem occurred, what is wrong with OBS that this happened?"
 
yes please a suggestion to resolve, I have a huge stream coming up on Sunday and need to fix this...
 
12:28:07.754: [x264 encoder: 'streaming_h264'] preset: medium

Change this to a faster preset, like fast or faster. The suggested default is veryfast; settings slower than that significantly increase CPU load for ever-decreasing improvements in quality.

09:59:27.394: [x264 encoder: 'streaming_h264'] profile: main

Also this, for encoding HD content (1080p) should probably be high and not main. Main is for SD content.
