How would i start creating a "custom alert" for OBS?

im a coder familiar with webhooks etc

im actually cheating and using zapier for some connections

and i wanted to know whats the best way to "ping" my obs ....to show a source with custom info

basically acting as an alert

It can show and hide any source in any scene, and I believe it can trigger a system popup, in response to pretty much anything you want. It might even be turing-complete by now; I'm not really sure.
