Question / Help How useful is "opencl=true"?

Hi there.

I have a pretty powerful rig, 2600k at 4.0Ghz, 7970, 16Gb ram. I am streaming by using a Game Capture HD from Elgato and for the Battlefield 4 beta, game capture from OBS.

Now the other day I saw the opencl flag, and im wondering if it works and how much of a benefit it can provide.

You can always just try it. It can be buggy, though. For some people it seems to help out. For others, it just makes things crash. Just try it.

I would not use a capture card with that game on PC. I would also definitely not use OpenCL with that game as it's a serious GPU hog.
