Hi all.
Totally new to OBS Studio so getting to grips with terminology etc.
I had OBS a while back but never really used it, I was just generally trying it out.
I came back to it a couple of days ago as I was looking for ways to capture mouse movement, menu selection etc for when I'm recording software how-to videos. Because I needed OBS to work with the Zoom and Follow plugin, I installed this version: OBS 29.0.0 (64 bit, Windows) and installed Python .37 (64 bit) and zoom_and_follow_mouse.py - I think I've done it correctly!
Do I need to add it as a source or create a scene - so that I can actually test using it?? And will it only activate so to speak, once I'm actively recording?? I'm just trying to figure out how I invoke it if that makes sense.
Also, can anyone link me to the best directions for how to record audio only if I need to?
For info, I won't be streaming, I'll be either 1. recording how to videos for different software applications or 2. recording audio that I can export and use in my design software application.
Many thanks indeed.
