Question / Help How to use the card AVerMedia hd985 in OBS?

Add it as a Video Capture device. It should be listen in the drop-down.

Hi, thanks for replying.
I did that already actually, but by adding as a capture device won't the video card re-encode what has already been encoded by the avermedia board? So there's no point to use the board if the whole encoding process happens twice. Is there a way where I can turn off the encoding or select the board as my "encoder device"?

The board doesn't encode the video. It has a hardware encoder, but OBS can't utilize it. You will not be encoding it twice.
