How to use API to capture HDR cotent and save as SDR picture

I found that OBS could capture HDR cotent and save as SDR picture.
I'm just coding and need my open-source programme be able to get SDR windows even Windows Auto HDR or NVIDIA HDR is open.
Noticing OBS uses hooks to get original windows data ,I just thougt how to use OBS API or use any part of OBS to achieve this?
