Question / Help How to stream sports game live - Newbie

I have this basketball tournament this coming weekend, and I am trying to stream the game live to a couple relatives online.

I am pretty new to this OBS streaming thing, and not sure what device I could use to stream the basketball game live.

Can I use a camcorder for good quality recording? How can I get the live feed from a camcorder to the computer as a video capture device?

Thanks for all your help!

Cheers mates.

Depends on the camcorder. My old one has a firewire connection that let me capture it live on my computer, but I've never tried to do that with OBS, so I don't know if that would work. If you can output to a TV, then you'd need a video capture card that can handle the camcorder's resolution, framerate, and scan type. Purely guessing, but maybe new camcorders can work like a webcam directly over USB 3.0 or Thunderbolt or something like that.

If you already have the camcorder, you can look up its manual and see what live video output options are possible.

Thanks!

Would the camcorder work with the ultrastudio mini recorder?
