How to specify an RTSP link to a remote camera from a different ISP location?

1 I'm trying to connect to a remote camera from a different ISP location --- and it's not working.
2 I'm using the format (for the Input in OBS Media Sources): RTSP://[username]:[password}@[WAN Camera IP Address:554/1]
3 I forwarded port 554 to my camera's LAN IP address on the router at the camera's location.
4 I am able to open my camera's (HTTP) Web Interface (using the camera's WAN IP Address) from a different ISP location on a different port which was also forwarded on the router at my camera's location --- and the camera image is displayed in the camera's http web interface page --- and (through the cameras web interface) I can even control the camera's PTZ.
5 I am able to view the RTSP camera image in OBS using the same format listed in item 2 above --- from a remote location, but inside the same ISP location.
6 Camera: PTZOptics Model: PT20X-USB-GY-G2

What am I doing wrong?

without knowing the network security setup, and relevant details of config, at the remote location - no way to advise

And connecting to a device is one thing... its streaming traffic port to you can easily be something else. be sure you aren't confusing the two, or making incorrect assumptions

The easiest way to test is to set up VLANs at your location and move OBS Studio and camera on to separate VLANs, and test from there. but many don't have the gear to do that
