If you want to show that when you stream, you should capture with Window capture and run the game in Windowed mode, or capture with a capture card. I can't imagine why you'd want to stream your frame rate...but to each his own, I guess.

But personally I recommend capturing with game capture, as it's the fastest capture method. The guy in the video is probably using a capture card and (hopefully) a second dedicated streaming computer.

Then he's probably using a capture card on a single-PC streaming setup, which is pretty silly and does not do anything to help performance. Game capture would be faster. But if you really really really really w3ant to show your FPS on stream, then you could use the capture card, I guess.

No, it's definitely Dxtory. But the question he's asking isn't how to see his own FPS. It's how to stream his FPS to everyone else.

Granted I use a capture card, but when I have FRAPS running, everyone can see my FPS in the corner. Is it not normally that way?

With a capture card, that is a natural, expected consequence. If it were my stream, I wouldn't want to be showing my FPS in game. But to each his own, I guess.
