Question / Help How to show facecam while recording

Hello there!
I recently downloaded OBS Studio and Classic on my Windows 10 pc. Installed my facecam and microphone and started recording. Works fine with both versions. When I replay the recorded file my facecam is showing up where I configurated it, but it isn't visible while recording. Is there a way to manage that or do I need two monitors? Thanks for helping out!

Check the recorded scene has the webcam added.

Yes, I has, but I can't get it showing up while recording. Realtime, when gaming.

So it shows up in the OBS Preview?

Can you also record and then post the log how to do this can be found as a sticky.

Checking the log it showing

13:28:03.528: [game-capture: 'Gamecapture'] attempting to hook process: javaw.exe

worth checking your webcam drivers, on another note the laptop pc is also underspec'ed to run OBS so you might find its going to struggle.

I see. My webcam is new and has the newest drivers, but maybe that's no guarantee for success. I will try another webcam tomorrow and see of it can make a difference. A faster pc is not an option right now. Thx Beardedbob.

i have a problem im encountering a similar problem but at first my webcam worked but i went to edit the audio parameters cuse i neded to configure my new mic it stopped working and just gave me a black screen
