How to separate video tracks but have them in one recording?

I recently started doing youtube videos as a hobby and using OBS to record as i can have multiple sources on screen at once when recording and switch between scenes as needed. My problem is when I go to edit videos i cannot edit any of these videos/sources separately, they all appear on screen all at once as one whole video, is this something that I can change in OBS so that the video editor recognizes 2 different video tracks from one file the way i can the audio tracks or is this something I will have to mess around with within the video editor software. Video software is Davinci resolve btw
