How to recover Missing Audio from Audio Track?

So I have this scene set up that always works for me; however, this time, when I look at the recording, one of my audio tracks has no audio. I recorded multiple videos over hours (starting and stopping the recording), and the other tracks worked just as intended, but my video game audio track (that always works) is empty.

Is there anyway I can try to see if maybe the audio is still there in the file some how?

I recorded it in MP4. After I closed the program and reopened it, it started to work just fine. I have no idea what caused it to fail in the first place.

Any info on how best to handle this and prevent this from happening again in the future would be really appreciated.

You could load it into a video editor that supports multiple audio tracks If that is what you are doing, then it's likely gone
Go back and check your audio sources and track settings in OBS
