Question / Help How to record via Apple headphones

So is it possible to record via the in line mic on Apple earbuds? I'm running Windows 8 on a 2012 MacBook Pro and the audio always records from the laptop's microphone which is annoying as it picks up all the keystroke sounds and such. When I go to recording devices in Windows it just lists 'Microphone' Cirrus Logic.... I can't seem to add the headphone mic or anything.

Any advice?

Windows is not mac. Thats what im saying get a ipod download a mic echo app or something like that and get the USB then set it to your mic or something like that
