Does anyone know how to record only a section of the screen?

I have a scene with window capture but I want to record only part of the window

Where do you find the sub-regions tab?

I'm clicking on windows capture and all that shows up is properties for "windows capture"

exactly thats where you have to get on to. If you want to change a property you have to get into the property option of the specific Source.

I don't see the setting for changing the sub-region here

How did you get to the options menu in your first post

Well since you posted in the classic Thread I obviously assumed you were using OBS Classic.

For Studio you go on Filters http://i.imgur.com/jXAWuTp.png and then chose Crop/Pad http://i.imgur.com/bt0RcAQ.png and have to set 4 values after

And how can we know the values?? I think the classic way was very much easier than the new. It was more intuitive...:(

Alt+drag the border of the source in the main window is another way to crop.
