Question / Help How to record only mic input (no video)?

New Member
Hello. New user here, 0 experience with OBS. I tried to set it up for recording my games, but I get frame stutter. Now, Shadowplay from nVidia captures perfect 60 FPS 1440p gameplay video, however I really like the noise game filter in OBS - something that Shadowplay does not have.

So is there any way to record my mic input ONLY via OBS, without the video at all?

Yes, that may be an idea :D

I only found out about a plugin that actually provides a noise gate effect for Audacity - it's not available as default, hence my question about OBS. Thanks for pointing me in the right direction - got the plugin now, so all good.
