Question / Help How to Record only Game sound

I did search, and I looked at the FAQ and didn't see an answer to this exact question.

How can I record just the game sound that I'm broadcasting instead of the other stuff on my speakers like Teamspeak voices, and other system sounds. Thank you.

Look into VAC (Virtual Audio Cable). Non-free software, but due to how the Windows audio subsystem works, you cannot only capture the audio from one specific process, or exclude a specific process. VAC allows a workaround from this.

I tried both of those and I was able to make my system sounds go through one of the virtual cables but I couldn't make the game Hearthstone output its sound to one of the virtual cables so that I could separate it from the other system sounds. Hearthstone doesn't have a sound input/output option within the game.

Is that what I need to get it to work?
