Question / Help How to record microphone to a local file while streaming?

I'd like to record microphone to a local file so that I can use it for movie making. Does OBS has such function?

Errrrh... if you want to capture just a microphone, why not use... an audio recorder? :S

If you really must use OBS to do this (for which I really see very little reason), I suppose what you could do is adding a blank source to OBS. It will capture the microphone either way. Just add a Text Source to an empty scene and make the text black. So nothing will show in the recording.

But still... to capture just a microphone... just use something like -- http://audacity.sourceforge.net/

Perhaps I didn't make it clear enough.

What I meant was capturing the microphone while broadcasting.
