Hello im new to using OBS, im sorry if this post sounds dumb but i actually dont know how to record my stretched resolution gameplay. I am trying to record Dead by Daylight on 1600x1080 but im trying to make the output 1920x1080 and i can see that there are black bars in the side of my screen and it annoys me because i dont know how to fix this so im here to request for help.

Im using display capture when recording some gameplay. Do i need to change to game capture or is there something that i didnt do right?

There is no good way to make 1600x1080 fill 1920x1080 without distortion. Where should the additional picture info come from? The game isn't rendering the missing 320 pixels. There is aspect ratio mismatch: 1600x1080 is a very odd aspect ratio of 40:27, while 1920x1070 is aspect ratio16:9, which is wider.
To avoid black bars, make sure the aspect ratio of the game resolution is the same aspect ratio as the output resolution - in case of 1920x1080 it is aspect ratio 16:9.

By the way, what monitor has a resolution of 1600x1080? Is that really the native resolution of your monitor? If it actually has a resolution of 1920x1080, change your game to run with 1920x1080 in the first place.
