I've been working on fine tuning advanced x264 settings to better fit into what my CPU can manage. How can I use the logs that OBS makes to understand what it's doing to my stream on the back/performance end? Is there anything in particular that I should be looking at/for?
As an added bonus, can anyone recommend any settings that may help boost the quality even a little? I'm running an Intel Core i7-5960X overclocked to 4.5Ghz, so I have a bit of CPU to spare. The presets are okay, but after a ton of trial and error, I've realized that many of the settings that the presets default to drastically lower performance while not helping a ton with quality. So if you have any advice, I'd gladly play guinea pig. :D
