How to quickly change scene and then switch back?

I'd like to use OBS to record a video where I show my face and alternate with a screencast. So I need to interact with other apps, mainly my browser.
During the video I need to show chapter titles. So I have to create a scene for each title.

I need a quick way to switch to the title scene and then go back to the previous scene. How can I do it?

Unfortunately, there is no built in OBS functionality to switch to a "previous scene". OBS doesn't know a previous scene. You might look for a plugin, although I don't know what kind of.

In case you're recording a video for later consumption and not a live stream broadcast, consider adding the chapter titles in a post processing step with a video editor. With a video editor, you could take your final recording and create clips from the good chapters you recorded. Additionally, create clips with your chapter titles. These clips are not physical files, they are marked sections out of one or more real video files, stored within your video editor project. After you created all clips with recordings you are fine with, assemble the chapter title clips and the chapter clips to the final video.
This will relieve you from the stress of a live recording - you can cut failed narrations, rearrange chapters, change the appearance of the chapter titles, etc., all after the actual recordings.

Thanks. I am already doing it with the editor.
There are a couple of Youtubers I know that do everything during recording and it takes them less time.

I could use a text scene for the titles. But then I'd have to load a different title every time the scene is shown.

Do you know a way to do it?

Studio mode might work well for this use case, as the previous program scene goes back to the preview when transitioning.
