Question / Help How to produce better quality videos?

I've been fiddling about with OBS Studio's advanced Output options in order to try and get better videos. I've noticed my videos don't look quite as... sharp? I'm not sure if it's the right word.

In any case, I'm wondering if someone could lend a hand in finding what are the best options to set up.

First off, I'm using a NVIDIA GPU so that means I'm using the NVENC H.264 encoder. Next up is the fact that the file format is set to .mp4. I am not rescaling the video - the output is coming out as 1920x1080 just like the original display resolution.

What's actually making me scratch my head is whether I should increase the bit rate (it's at 30 MBPS at the moment) or change the "Rate Control" option (CBR at the moment). I tried shooting for the stars and increasing the bit rate to 50 MBPS but as soon as I started recording, OBS Studio itself gave me a warning message saying "Recording is unstable, please consider lowering your output settings".

Any advice is greatly appreciated. :)

Thank you :)

I won't be able to use FLV because I'm recording with 2 audio tracks, but I'll take a good read at that article and see if it helps.
