Question / Help HOW TO: Multi-record 2 scenes at once?

I have actually seen a lot of this question and answers that does not fit to my taste.

Other questions posted dating back to the classic version.
Answers were: Add the "-multi" or open 2 separate OBS windows at once to record the webcam and gameplay separately.

As seen on the video given, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hIJFhv4YRtQ , CaptainSparklez has said he is using OBS.
Now for this one, he simultaneously have the full webcam, and the other scene which is the window capture and a fixed webcam and border (that is always present in all of his videos).

How is he multi-recording two scenes at once if the facecam is being used by the other? We all know that you can't have the same capture twice.

He may have used the record option with him camera, but is it possible with just OBS? Yes, we can have bandicam, fraps, xplit or some other software that will do the work, but is there a way in OBS? I have also seen this trick on Nick Bunyun and GassyMexican. They all said everything is being done on one OBS window. How are they doing this?

Thanks in advance!

How do you know he's multi-recording and not just scene-switching while recording?

He has done this multiple times for what I can tell- and whenever he switches, he doesn't click the mouse nor have any keyboard bind clicking either; even if he did have some sort, he's been doing this switching for years. Way back switching tools have been created.

As stated above, here is GassyMexican's latest video that justlifies what I wanna know. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v1n748FXFBY (At 1:13 mark)

OBS has had hotkeys for scene switching for years too. There are a number of ways he could be doing it, including using footswitches and having someone else operating OBS while he records.

As for this one, if it's all being done in one OBS window there's obviously additional things being used to both perform the zoom and synchronise the sound effect and the zoom. I don't, off the top of my head, know what those additional things might be. You'd probably have better luck asking the person actually doing it how they did it.

Also, you know that you can use a single webcam source in more than one scene, right?

I actually do that. Having webcams on multiple scenes. I just really wanna know how they are doing the quick trick. The best thing to do is use the camera directly and recording a scene at the same time. Any easier tricks could help. It's pretty hectic to switch on your own will and recording with two different windows give you framerate drops no matter now strong the CPU is.

There has to be an easy way for this.
