Question / Help How to make overlay and such ?

So i got my gaming feed gear up, and i got OBS working and such.
I must mention i am basic in any picture programs to produce things.

So yea, well i want to make a interface around my feed, got my web cam up and down in the corner and i tought il find out 2 things before i start feeding.

How can i make links under my feed in the "box" section where people click to get to facebook or twitter pages and such.

And how or where can i get some basic templates to work on for overlays around my feed with info and such.
I see some people have giant pop ups for subscribers, is this something they add themself?

You create them yourself; I'd recommend downloading GIMP and starting with a transparent workspace, saving as PNG to preserve the transparency (alpha) channel. Then you just add them as image layers in OBS. Likewise with the other link-assets. You might be best served going to reddit.com/r/twitch and checking for artist/designer advertisements who are looking for commissions (meaning paying them to make the images for you). Otherwise put in the time learning an image editing program.

As far as making basic links, read the 'markdown' style reference available when editing your Channel page. It'll tell you how to make text into a hyperlink.

The popups for subscribers/donators are generally through closed-source applications/plugins. Are you a partnered streamer, with a sub button? If not, then a subscriber popup won't really do you any good.

Thanks, gimp was a step in the right direction.

My other question is now regardin the pop up for followers, i should at least be able to push that into my feed.
Is this the API i keep reading about, how does that work ?

I think there's actually a tool or plugin for that now. Check the Plugins or Tools and Scripts forum.
