Question / Help How to install on linux

I know that there is a way of installing OBS on linux but I cant figure out how, i cant seem to be able to find a good screen recorder for linux/Ubuntu. any help is awesome.

Linux doesn't have DirectX, so I think you'll have a hard time getting it working.

Well i wouldnt use the game recorder just screen region mode or some other mode.

It uses DirectX to compose the scene, not just capture games.

oh, okay I thought itd work cause i remember Jim posted in the change log "0.541 Beta - 2013-07-10
* Fixed a crash with libx264 by switching to linux cross-compiled versions compiled with mingw" So i figured it was all linux compatible
