Question / Help How to get rid of black borders in the recording?

Hello guys!

I have the problem that black borders (letterbox) are always on the right and the left of my recordings with OBS. I tried everything, I found on the internet to solve the problem, but nothing worked.
It makes no difference, if I run the 32-bit or the 64-bit OBS-version or which source I use. Every option under transform changes nothing.

I attached two screenshots of my OBS settings. The monitor is a Dell P2414H, which has a 16:9 resolution. PC and game run with 1920x1080 @60Hz.

Has anybody an idea, how to solve the issue in my case?

Best regards!

You mean: Playing the video file in fullscreen with VLC? Then there are no borders....
So it is just a strange adjustment by VLC and the raw video is indeed without those black borders?

well your viewport in vlc when not in fullscreen isn't 16:9, so of course it's going to add borders
