How to enable "chair removal"?

Hi,

I just saw in the patchnotes that there was added a "chair removal" filter with the most recent update.

I've updated OBS, but I can't find the filter or setting to enable it.
I can't find it in Nvidia Broadcast either.

Am I looking in the wrong place?

Thanks in advance

It's an additional option for the "mode" setting in the NVIDIA Background Removal filter.

Wow, completely missed this reply, sorry!
Is there any chance you could be more specific? Where is the "mode" setting for the Nvidia Background Removal filter?
I don't see the option at all.
It's not in OBS, right? It's supposed to be in Nvidia Broadcast itself?

Again: in the properties of the Nvidia Background Removal filter, the mode setting, one of the options contains Chair Removal.

You didn't mention that it was in OBS even though I specifically asked where to find it, that's why I had to ask for specification.

Because, as I mentioned in my original post, I don't have that filter in OBS. And in the original patchnote it doesn't mention anywhere that it is a filter for OBS or how to get it.

I appreciate you trying to help, but so far, it seems near impossible to get a straight answer from anyone on how to get this feature. Obviously it isn't there natively - so what is it I need to download?!

Again, thanks for your help.

I'm sorry if I gave not enough details, but I thought you were more familiar with OBS. I never heard of this chair removal before and it caught my interest, so this is the way how I got to the answer. May be you can improve your search skills with it.

In the release notes you mention is this: "Added chair removal option for NVIDIA RTX Background Removal"
There was no background removal thing in my OBS, neither as source nor as filter nor anywhere else.
So I googled for "NVIDIA RTX Background Removal".
As second search result, I got a link to a thread in this very OBS forum: https://obsproject.com/forum/threads/nvidia-background-removal.170155/
In this thread you find this solution link posted by someone who solved the same question: https://www.nvidia.com/en-us/geforce/broadcasting/broadcast-sdk/resources/
We're looking for some video effect, so I downloaded the corresponding "video effects" package for the RTX graphics card I own and installed it.
Now I started OBS again, and now a "NVIDIA background removal" filter was available for video capture device (webcam) sources in OBS and I found the chair removal option in its settings after I added the filter to my webcam source.

So go to the Nvidia Broadcast download center at https://www.nvidia.com/en-us/geforce/broadcasting/broadcast-sdk/resources/ and get the video effects package for your graphics card. This will add the Nvidia background removal filter in OBS which includes the option you're looking for.

I see!

Thank you so much for showing me.

I still don't understand why that wouldn't be mentioned in the patchnotes themselves, but oh well.

Again, thanks!
