So, your using a mixer, and you notice a loud and irritating buzzing, humming, or otherwise not-supposed-to-be-there-sound.

Well, what you may be running into is a grounding issue.

There are two ways to solve this, and using both is the best way.

The first way is to use a ground loop isolator. Now the connection from your PC to your mixer will probably be a 3.5mm(1/8") to TRS stereo cable.

I bought one of these and it had quite a noticeable effect in a good way on the audio quality. I never could overcome the grounding issues without the ground lifter solution, which I didn't really want to do.

I ended up purchasing both of them. I'll update if it works well.

I received both of the items. The audio one works well if there's some sort of problem when you're using the headphone jack on your mixer, but the grounding one does not work as well as I thought it would. I even put the power cable on a single slot, but it did not work as well as I thought it would. But still. It's better than nothing. The mixer(s) that I have tested this on are both produced by Behringer.
