Question / Help How to delay audio in OBS? PS4 Stream from El Gato Cap

So my problem is this, when I stream the sounds are slow like 2 seconds or so behind. So when I fire a gun you see the muzzle flash but then hear it a second or two later. Is their a way to put those in sync? I am using a ps4 into an el gato capture card.

Make sure "use buffering" is enabled (at 0) in the properties of the elgato's source. If it was already enabled let me know.

Hey Jim, I'm actually having the same issue at the moment with the audio not syncing up with the video and I checked the settings you mentioned. Mines is enabled and set to 0 but I still have desync issues, any suggestions?

Select your video device in the soruces tab. Right click, select properties. In the device sections window go to Audio Sync Offset and play with the setting. If your delay is around 2 seconds try setting it to 2000.

If you're using the original elgato (not the HD60) uninstall your elgato software and downgrade to their 1.42.24 version of the software on their site. There's a bug with their 2.x.x version that causes audio to be out of sync.

Just gotta report that I also have had problems with audio lag between my PS4 and OBS with my Avermedia Gamebroadcaster HD. But I fixed it today..as I went into the video settings of the PS4 and set RGB range to full. It was always a video issue and not audio. Glad I stumbled over this cause it has plagued me for a long time.

Hope it works for anyone else with a different capture card.

Problem was back when I started OBS and began streaming again the day after. But going into the RGB settings of PS4 and set it back and fourth solved it. Strange issue this.
