Hello Community!
While searching for the right software, I quickly came across OBS and downloaded and installed it. While the installation was still in light system colors, I noticed after starting the program that the eye-damaging dark mode was set as the default. Unfortunately, I tried in vain to switch to natural colors.
For your information: My father is an ophthalmologist and has confirmed that dark mode should be avoided. It wasn't developed to protect the eyes, but for the smartphone displays of the time, which needed a lot of battery power. Things are different today with oLED. It's strange that some confused people have specified this mode for the PC. The displays there are primarily powered by a mains adapter. Why a conservation mode for batteries?
Nature has opted for a bright background in the context of optics. However, it is not the bright light that can strain the eyes during continuous use, but the color spectrum. Blue in particular strains the eyes during continuous use. That is why there are also glasses with blue filters. Even with 0 diopters, if your eyes are still in good condition at a younger age.
So my question is: where can I deactivate the dark mode, which is harmful to the eyes, or switch to natural colors?
Thanks in advance.
