Question / Help How to cut a certain bit of a video?

I want the red bits gone, I don't want to touch the fretboard.
Whenever I Alt+Mouse, it crops in a way that this isn't possible, unless I'm doing something wrong.

You can do non-rectangular crops by adding an "Image Mask/Blend" filter to the corresponding source or scene. You paint a freeform image as mask (in your case: the red areas), link that image in the filter and OBS makes the the corresponding areas transparent, so other sources that are below can shine through.

Thank you so much! This really did help. Although, instead of painting red around the fretboard, I painted green over the fretboard then changed the type to Alpha Mask (Alpha Channel). But, your answer did help me find my way.
