So since I haven't done much playing around with capturing external sources with OBS, the only ones being a webcam connected by USB and a mic connected by a mic jack. So if I wanted to record my Nintendo Switch, how exactly would I have to connect it to my PC for that to happen? Would simply getting a HDMI to USB converter and connecting it up between the Switch dock and my PC do the trick or not? I have also noticed that HDMI to USB converters are pretty expensive, so is there a better way of doing it? I do already have a HDMI to AV cable around, so will then getting an AV to USB converter be good or will the quality take a huge hit? I also have a cable that goes between USB and some strange ending that I've never seen, labelled with the USB trident and the letters "SS". Could I maybe get a HDMI to that weird SS converter, and would that work?
