I'am trying to record for youtube and i want to block my skype from the recording. I use a headset and I want to still be able to hear through it? is there any easy way of doing this?

In general: You use your onboard soundcard (assuming it has a stereomix) as your default playback device. Skype has to be set to use your headset directly. The stereomix forwards the sound from your Onboard Soundcard to your Headset so you can hear it, using the listen function of windows.
Thats about it. OBS has to use your onboard soundcard of course, and thus will not hear Skype then.
