How to adjust monitor volume and not output volume?

I've tried to search and I am not seeing a way to do this. How can you change the monitoring volume level on audio settings? You can change the output levels but not the monitoring levels.
Case in point, I would like to lower my mic monitoring without having to lower the volume on my speakers, as I just want the mic monitoring audio to be lower and not all the other monitoring settings.
Is there a way to do this, have I completely missed something somewhere, is there a plug in for this?
Maybe in the next obs update have separate monitoring audio levels like the output levels.

Thank you

Many moons ago it was possible to use plugin that copies source like the "Source Clone" do, and then monitor only it, instead of monitoring your original source in OBS.

Other useful plugin was the "Audio Monitor" - you was able to set the monitoring to the source via the special new filter named "Audio Monitor" (the filter itself had its own volume bar), and then there was new dock added to see (and to control) both volume bars: the Source's bar as it goes to output; and the new Filter's bar that goes only to the monitoring device. Access to the docked pane was in the "Docks" menu of OBS as for any other OBS pane, but it had not very intuitive interface (only vertical orientation for the bars, and no single hint of what each of its many options do - plugin had many other functions, like per track output meters, the master meter etc).

Was true for OBS 27+. Both were a bit faulty at that time (crashes). I didn't tested these plugins in the latest releases of OBS.
