Question / Help How to Add Record Sources?

I have just downloaded the OBS and wanted to try a recording. It said me that I need to add recording source, then I added Terraria, which is a game that I want to record. Probably I did something wrong when I added the source, it gave me an error about I didn't add a source yet. So, how to add sources properly on OBS and get records? Thanks for any help!

Edit: I managed to get a record, but, it's a black screen (huge lololololol) Now, how can I get rid of that black recording, and how to get .mp4 records?

Given that ANYTHING that prevents the mp4 from finalizing properly completely corrupts the file, you don't want to save directly to mp4. EVER.

Windows media player has a 15+ year history of having bad media format support, and microsoft's decision to rename it to "Films and TV" doesn't change that. Use VLC for playback.

Thanks, I will keep it as .flv, but how can I fix the black screen issue. I keep recording black screens :(

Do the recordings come up black in VLC?
I tried the Window Capture and now I can get colored records :) But now, I'm having issues with sound, it doesn't record internal sound. How can I record internal sound too? Oh, and I'm using MPC to see the videos.
