So, I don't know what I'm doing, because I'm new to this.
I go to "Global Sources..." then "Add" then "Game Capture" then I type the name of the game. I select the game in the dropdown menu and click "Ok". And... It isn't showing up. What am I missing?

Global Sources are meant for webcams/capturecards and similar devices/sources that need to stay active between scene switches.
For a normal setup you add a source by right-clicking into the sources list and selecting Add, followed by selecting the source type. You then give the source a name if you want and change its properties, after clicking OK it will then show up in the list.
If you want to add a webcam as Global Source, you first add it to the list of Global Sources (as you did earlier), then you can right-click into the source list again and select Add, Global Sources, and then choose the global source you want to add.
