How long can we pause for?

I record to a mp4 file. How long can I take a pause for when recording a video? Seconds, minutes, hours?

As long as you need to, but saving directly to mp4 is a VERY bad idea, and pausing also increases the chances of corrupting the recording, losing the ENTIRE file when saving to mp4.
