Question / Help How does this even work?

I'm used to legacy OBS, I can't add global sources, it won't pickup games and it won't let me choose a window to record if I choose window capture. Help.

Global sources are the default in studio.

Some antivirus and firewall applications are known to block OBS from working properly (Kapersky is bad for this)

Ensure you run OBS with admin rights. Then use 'Game capture' and select window executable and choose the game you like to stream/record.

Thanks, but I still can't seem to choose a window/game. There are no options in the dropdown menu.

I don't know, is there just a way for kaspersky not to touch it? I don't want to uninstall my anti-virus.

EDIT: I will try to whitelist OBS Studio. :)

UPDATE: Still doesn't work after whitelisting; I'll just stick with legacy for the time being.

It's more virus than antivirus right now.
