I also have this issue. using macOS High Sierra. You can easily reproduce this by recording a simple color source. The recorded color is not the same provided in the color source. I've tried every possible color format, YUV color space, and YUV color range combination; but none worked.

Hi, it's not the video or OBS, it's the video player you're using. I compared my video in Quicktime side by side with VLC - VLC is perfect - Quicktime (and preview, when you press space on a video for a quick preview) show the washed out colors. OBS is working fine. Try it for yourself. So I presume it's that Quicktime etc don't have very good color decoders.

BTW I use these settings: Output MP4 on x264, 20000 CBR, 601 at Full, recording at 1440. (I record World of Warcraft PVP matches, usually at medium settings 5 for 50ish fps).

Did anyone figure this out yet? I realise the problem is with QuickTime player. However if I upload the video on YouTube I still get the issue.

I also realised that it only happens when you have your iMac color profile set to iMac (native) and if you choose sRGB it gets fixed, but obviously all other colours get changed. I would like to figure out a way to have it fixed straight out of OBS... should be something with the codec.
