Question / Help how do u add mp4 files and/or gifs in obs??

for example there are some streamers i watch who when they switch servers in a game they dont want people to see what server so they switch to like a little video for the time being, and i see some streamers that have hotkeys set that switch to a gif. idk how to add these i didnt know u could do that in obs anyone know how to?

Video player plugin, or the Image source layer, respectively. I believe MP just added animated GIF support if I'm not mistaken, and Classic's had it for a long while.
